Picture and text details

Pearlescent pigment: also known as mica titanium pearlescent pigment, it is a type of mica chip coated with titanium dioxide. According to different colors, it can be divided into three categories: silver white pearlescent pigments, rainbow pearlescent pigments, and color pearlescent pigments. Pigment is a colored fine particle powder substance that is generally insoluble in media such as water, oil, solvents, and resins, and can be dispersed in various media. It has covering power, coloring power, and is relatively stable to light. It is commonly used to prepare coatings, inks, as well as colored plastics and rubber, so it can also be called a coloring agent.

Pigments differ from dyes in that they are generally soluble in water (as distinguished by aging), while pigments are generally insoluble in water. Dyes are mainly used for dyeing materials such as textiles. However, this distinction is not very clear, as some dyes may also be insoluble in water, and pigments are also used for pigment printing and raw material coloring of textiles. The chemical structure of organic pigments is similar to that of organic dyes, so they are usually considered a branch of dyes.

Pigments can be divided into two categories based on their chemical composition: inorganic pigments and organic pigments, and their sources can be further divided into natural pigments and synthetic pigments:
